System Restore disabled after using Easy Transfer Wizard in Windows 7

User had used Easy transfer Wizard to move data to new system, after transfer, system restore was listed as “disabled by Administrator” even though the user involved was the sysadmin and has Admin rights to the system.

Issue was resolved by editing the registry key for system restore:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ SystemRestore

In the right pane of this key delete the value named DisableConfig

Reboot, issue resolved.
