Cant open Excel Docs in Vista

Cant open Excel docs directly by double-clicking on them however, the docs can be opened from the Excel program. Other Office programs work fine.

Step 1.

Go to Excep options-> Advanced Tab-> Under the General section, make sure the box next to 'Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)' is unchecked.

Step 2.

Try opening Excep doc.

Step 3.

If Excel docs still do not open. Use the MS Office CD to run ‘REPAIR’ only.

Step4.

Restart the system.

Step 5.

Try opening Excep doc.
