SCSI Drive replacement requires Drive ID jumper to be set

Replacement SCSI hard drive needed SCSI jumper set

SCSI hard drives ship from the warehouse with the same SCSI ID jumper setting (Usually SCSI ID 0 or 1 depending on the drive model).  When installing the drive, it is important to note the SCSI IDs of all SCSI devices in the SCSI chain and ensure that all devices are set to unique SCSI ID's.  Generally, the SCSI controller is defaulted to SCSI ID 7, and the normal SCSI ID for a pair of RAID Drives is SCSI 0 and SCSI 1.

When sending hard drives to the End User, it is important to inform the User that the IDs for the drives may need to be changed from the factory default and this information should be logged in the call notes.
