Please use the below given
steps to install Media Direct and XP or VISTA on Dell systems
1. Restart the system and tap F12. when at boot menu put the
media direct cd in the cd drive.
2. Select the cd/dvd drive in the boot menu and start tapping
enter.
3. Then after few seconds there would be options : 1, 2 or
q.
4. You need to select 1 and then say 'y'.
5. It would then ask you to take out the media direct cd and
put the windows cd in and press any key.
6. Put windows Vista dvd now and then restart the system and
tap F12 again.
7. At boot menu select cd/dvd option and then start tapping
enter.
8. Windows vista booting start from there.
9. At one stage it would ask you to select partitions.
10. Then you need to take out the windows cd and put the
resource cd in the drive and click on load drivers.
11. You need to browse to the cd drive and then there would
be just one driver listed there.
12. Install that. Once done take out the resource cd and out
the windows vista back in the drive.
13. Select the partition which is 'NOT MEDIA DIRECT' and
then click next and continue. It will start copying files.
14. Rest all is automatic.
