1. Hal.dll is
missing error message on startup
Solution:
Boot to the
recovery console.
At the prompt
type the command:
expand
d:\i386\hal.dl_ c:\windows\system32\hal.dll (Substitute d: for the drive
letter of your CD)
2. Ntldr is missing
error message.
Boot to the recovery
console.
At the prompt type
the command:
copy
e:\i386\ntldr c:
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:
(Substitute e:
for the drive letter of your CD)
