Issues with My Dell Downloads


Thank you for contacting My Dell Download Support.
Please follow the following troubleshooting steps:
1) User should only use Internet Explorer to register or for creating account but can use IE or Mozilla for downloading after successful registration.
2) In order to download the Software successfully all IE or Mozilla Firefox users need Microsoft .NET Framework version “ 3.5 SP1 “ as minimum requirement Please install the Microsoft.net framework version 3.5 SP 1 using the following link:
3) All Firefox users need an additional add on that is .Net Framework Assistant 1.2.1 . Please install the same using the link :
4) User should right click on the IE icon and then click on 'run as administrator' as shown in the attachment. Please see the Document A as attached.
5) The Active-x component should be allowed to run.
6) Please ask the user to first allow to show hidden folders and then delete everything in the apps/2.0 Folder i.e. C:\Users\Customer_Login_Name _ Folder\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0. Please see Document B as attached.
If you are still experiencing any issue then please provide us the screen shot of the error along with the exact time stamp.

5.     The message, Program terminated normally, appears. Turn off the computer by pressing the power button.
6.     On the next startup the hard drive must be partitioned and formatted.
