1395 installation error installing Office 2010

Problem: Error 1395 when installing Office 2010 in Windows 7

Discussion:  Customers may report when installing Office 2010 in Windows 7, they experience a 1395 installation error. This may be because .NET 4.0 framework is not installed or the current .NET 4.0 installation has been corrupted.  Office 2010 and Family Tree Maker 2012 are two of many applications that require .NET Framework 4.0 to install.

Resolution:  If .NET 4.0 framework was already installed, uninstall it from control panel Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features and reboot.  Then have the customer install the framework from here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17851
