Age Limit for using Webcam Broadcast and Video Call

Description
This document explains why the webcam service may not be working due to age limits or connection issues.

Cause
Webcam Broadcast and Video Call features are restricted to customers age 13 and older, and will not work over proxy connections.

Resolution
The Webcam Broadcast and Video Call features may not be available for one of the following reasons:
  1. The friend you're trying to video conference with is not on your Contact List. As a workaround, you can add them to your Contact List, which will enable you to video conference with them.
  2. Webcam Broadcast and Video Call features only work with HTTP connections, and do not work over Proxy connections. You can adjust your connection settings for compatibility with Yahoo! Messenger.
  3. The date of birth you provided to Yahoo! at the time of registration indicates that you are under 13. Your birth date is used both for age verification and for security on your account. It's not possible to update or change your birth date in our system.
