Installing Intel WiDi can be tricky in Windows 8; below are
some easy steps on how to get the WiDi working on windows 8.
NOTE
: Make sure cx has Ethernet cable because uninstalling the drivers will cause
the wireless to get disabled.
1. Uninstall
Intel WiDi and Intel MyWifi Technology from Windows 8 and restart.
2. Download
and Install Intel WiDi from this link - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19782
3. Download
and Install Intel Intel MyWifi from this link - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/21165/eng/Wireless_15.1.0_s64.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=21165
4. Check
if all drivers are installed properly. DO not update any DRIVER (Wireless)
after installing the above drivers.
5. Run
WiDi on Windows 8
P.S. –
The adapter that connects to the Television should support WINDOWS 8
Also
donot forget the update the firmware of PTV adapter for windows 8 to R2 patch
from netgear website.
