Issue : Customer might report one of the
following error messages while trying to install/ open Dell Support Center

Root cause : One of the dependent windows services
might be turned off
Solution/Workaround:
DSC
AppUpdater uses WMI to validate the software will be licensed before
downloading and installing.
Open
Services.msc
·
Ensure
the services – Windows Management Instrumentation and WMI Performance
Adapter – are started and set for automatic startup
If
the WMI services were not enabled or running, please enable them and attempt to
use DSC again
If
the WMI services were already enabled, you can direct the user towards the full
EXE file from the link below , Please be advised that this may not be active
post Aug 31st.
Final Solution : An autoupdate will be available via DSC
to fix the issue by Aug 31st
